    2. Judy, Your excerpt from the book caught my eye. I have been looking for information on Charles YOUNG. Charles was born in Borenfeld, Germany in 1759. He came to the United States at some point with brothers, George and Jacob. Charles settled in Chambersburg, PA. George settled in Northampton County, PA and Jacob settled in Maryland. I don't know whether any of these folks mesh with the family that you have found. Barbara

    3. I have Charles Young from Germany bn. about 1757/59. His parents and he settled in Philadelphia. Charles served in the Rev. War and than settled near Martinsburg, Berkeley Co. VA/WV. Probably he had a brother Philip who was a silversmith and lived in Martinsburg. Another brother located in PA and one in CT, who had a son William. Charles and his wife Catherine Elizabeth Kint/Kindt separated and she came to Ohio with all but one of her children.
