Hi All, I know this is a very long shot, but has anyone come across a William YOUNG born 1842 and/or Benjamin YOUNG born 1840 in Hadspen, Pitcombe, Somerset, England in any of the USA census returns? I can find them in the UK census returns to 1861 and then they disappear. My gt gt grandfather's newspaper obituary from 1912 says that he went to visit family in USA sometime between 1907 and 1912 but frustratingly doesn't give names or places. I am assuming that these two went to USA as I can account for all other siblings in the UK records. William & Benjamin's parents were William and Letitia YOUNG nee JAMES. William & Benjamin moved to Blaenavon, Monmouthshire in 1851 with their parents & siblings where their father became a miner. William & Benjamin were listed as miners in the 1861 census returns. I realise this is a bit vague but I have been searching for these 2 for quite some time now. Any suggestions for locating them would be gratefully received Regards Eileen Boyt
