I am looking for anyone that has any thing about A Samuel Young that live in Polk Co. Tn. in 1850 .He died in the 1850s .His wife, was Rebecca ,she was 28 and he was 75.In 1850 he has a Emeline 7, and James H. 2 Samuel was from Va. and Rebecca is from N.C. I think that they got married in N.C. In 1860 Samuel is died.Rebecca is with Susan E.[Emeline] 18,James 13 and Sarah 8 I think that this James H. Young is my line.I find my James H.Young in Van Buren Co.Tenn. in 1870.He is 22 yrs old and he has with him a Emeline Smith and she has a son James Smith. James H. Young married Feb. 18, 1870 to a Rose Anna Pinson ,and Emeline married a Elijah Pinson September 7,1870.Rose Anna and Elijah were brother and sister.They were the children of Augustine Frank Pinson and Nancy Hudson. I think that ! Emeline , is Susan E. daughter of Samuel Young.I would like to find out if anyone has anything on this family.And if I am right I would like to find Sarah ,Samuel other daughter.I need all of help I can get. Hi Doris, I descend from the John David YOUNG family that is also on the 1850 cen of Polk Co. There were several other YOUNG families there at that time but I have been unable to connect to either. FYI, here are my notes on the 1850 Polk cen: CENSUS: 1850 Polk Co, TN HH #382/386 shows my gf John D. YOUNG aged 42 NC & Ana 37 NC +ch Mary M 20 TN, David A. 15 TN, Harriet 13 TN, John C. 11 TN, George W. 6 TN + Wm H. DEARMOND 20 TN & wf Charity B. 18 TN. [This 1850 census also has as HH: YOUNG, David, 70; YOUNG, James 84; YOUNG, James P., 84; YOUNG; YOUNG, Sam, 34; YOUNG, Wm. T., 34???? Do you know which of these are connected???
