Many thanks to those on the list who responded to my query re Young living in NY c1770. The only YOUNG name I have, given to my by an older relative from a family bible, is my 4ggmother, H. Cateren Young aka Katherine. She was born August 07, 1762 NY [family lore says she was born in the Mohawk Valley Area. The only record I have located with her name on it is a baptism record for her daughter, my 3ggmother, Mary Turnbull [b. 1796] baptised 1799 Schenectady Presbyterian Church. Cateren/Katherine and her husband, Walter Turnbull and sons lived in the Duanesburgh area. I have located Walter Turnbull on 1790 & 1800 Albany Co. US Census records, and on 1810 & 1820 Schenectady Co. US Census records. I have located other Turnbull and Young people in the Duanesburgh area, but at this time have no proven connection to them. I am in Anchorage AK and have been doing a lot of my research through the local Family History Center and the local NARA offices.
