    1. Re: [YOUNG] Henry or James YOUNG in Pendleton/Bracken Co, KY
    2. Donnie and Mary Young
    3. Hi Vicki. It's been a long time since I've corresponded with you, but have you ever come across Morgan Young (he was in the Grant Co KY 1860 census) with his wife Elizabeth, and some children. My husband descends from his daughter Armilda Young who supposedly (according to her son's marriage certificate) also married a John Young (whom I can find no trace of except her brother). At the time of her marriage, she might have been going by the name of Armilda Green though (her mother had remarried, but was widowed by the 1880 census and they were both going by the last name of Green). The only Young families I can find are in Bracken Co, or that from Kenton Co (Fountain Young and Martha Ross). I cannot seem to link Morgan Young to anyone in the area. If anyone else is researching Young families in Northern Kentucky, and might have a connection, I'd love to hear from you. Thanks! ~ Mary (Clark) Young ----- Original Message ----- From: "Vicki Albu" <valbu@attbi.com> To: <YOUNG-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, March 21, 2003 11:12 PM Subject: [YOUNG] Henry or James YOUNG in Pendleton/Bracken Co, KY > I am looking for proof whether or not James YOUNG who lived in Pendleton Co, KY around 1810 is the father of Henry YOUNG who married there in 1826 to Catherine "Kitty" ELLIS. 1. [YOUNG] C.A. YOUNG from TN
    2. Jen
    3. Hi, I'm still trying to find info on my g grandfather's family. His name is Robert Joshua Young born 6-16-1878 in TN and died 1933 in St. Louis, St. Louis, MO. He married Elizabeth Cornelia Harris born 2-18-1883 in Oklahoma and had 13 children. Robert's parents are C.A. Young and Martha. Martha was born in TN and died in Malvern, Hot Spring, AR. C.A. could possibly stand for Campbell Alexander since he had a grandson who also went by C.A. which stood for Campbell Alexander. Please, if anyone has any info on this family, and wouldn't mind sharing, I'd really appreciate it. I did find a C.A. Young on the 1880 Williamson Co., TN census who was born about 1840 in TN so I'm guessing that this is the right man. Thanks! Jen --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! 1. [YOUNG] Reuben Young, 1746-1832, Caroline Co., VA
    2. Doug & Marcy McCammish
    3. Looking for anyone researching this Reuben Young and his wife Ann Whorton. It is believed that they were members of the "Traveling Church" that left Virginia in about 1787 and moved to Jessamine County, Kentucky. Reuben and Ann much later moved to Missouri with some of their children. Reuben died in Boone County, Missouri and Ann returned to Kentucky where she died in Greenup County. Reuben and Ann had children John Young, b. about 1764 in Virginia, Married Mary Moore John became a Baptist minister and raised a family of girls in Greenup County, Kentucky. Lewis Young, b. about 1786, possibly in Kentucky, married Betsy Thompson 8/8/1803 in Fayette Co., KY Lewis had one known son Reuben, b. about 1804, may have had sons John M. and Robert. Lewis moved to Missouri with Reuben Joel Young, b. about 1788, m. Mary Gibboney 1/22/1808, Woodford Co., Kentucky Nothing else is known about Joel except that he was living in 1850 and in the Woodford County census Lucy Whorton Young, b. about 1791, m. James Wharton (?) about 1810 Lucy moved to Missouri with Lewis and Reuben There were apparently 8 other children of the marriage of Reuben and Ann, but I don't have their names. I believe that Lewis Young's son Reuben (II) stayed in Woodford County, Kentucky, married (1) Shartell Collins and (2) America Pilcher. Reuben II and Shartell had children John L., Mary C., Lucy Jane, and Uriah P. Young; Reuben II and America had children Eliza T., Dudley, and Jemima. Any information about these Youngs in Virginia, Kentucky, or Missouri would be appreciated. Thanks, Doug

The closest it came to having a Johnson Young there then was a John M. Young, age 14. All of the four and some others were Young children in other peoples HHs. There are Johnson Youngs in Wayne Co 1850-60. Maybe he was a Jr.? I will check some of them later today for you. Unless someone has the 1850c CD or something, I will have to read the actual page on Ancestry. There are no marriage records for either county on Ancestry, tried that too! Sorry Carleen

    2. Donnie Young
    3. Can anyone tell me more about this Morgan Young? He was listed in the 1860 Grant Co Kentucky census. My husband descends from Armilda, I believe. Morgan disappears by 1870, and Elizabeth remarried Thompson Green, and is later on the 1880 census just with Armilda who has taken the last name of Green. By 1900 Grant Co census, Armilda's last name is Young again. According to Armilda's son's marriage certificate, his parents are Armilda Young and John Young. I cannot find anything on these two people other than Armilda in the early census records. I was trying to rule out Morgan being kin to the Bracken Co Young families - that of Brice/Morgan Young lines......can someone confirm or deny if this Morgan fits???
