George, I too have collected a lot of Young names, mostly from internet sources. If you would like to have those, I would be glad to send them to you. It will take a little time, because I need to gather them up into one place. Would a GEDCOM be appropriate? Robley Laramie, WY [email protected] wrote: > > I have taken on a project. Hello everyone, This is my first post to this list. I'm interested in locating the family history of my paternal grandmother ELLEN YOUNG and her sister ELIZABETH YOUNG who were in CUMBERLAND about 1920. Ellen Young married JOHN JAMES STEELE and lived in and around Frizington / Cleator Moor. Elizabeth married into the COLLEY family and was last seen in FLORIDA in 1953 photographed with her niece RENEE. Ellen lived at Rheda Terrace, Cleator Moor but died at Frizington 11th. Nov. 1961. I have yet to establish any history connected with Elizabeth Colley (Young). Is there anyone researching this family line? Any help would be appreciated. Michael (Mike) Steele, South Wales, UK.

My Young family is one of my really big BRICK WALLS. My great grandparents were Jacob Jenkins Young and Sarah Samantha Gaines and they were married 1877 in Bartow Co., Ga. Jacob had been married earlier to Martha Phillips and they were the parents of two daughters. Jacob and Sarah's children were: 1) Joseph Lee b. 1878, 2) Richard Jenkins b. 1881, 3) Lula b. 1882, 4) Thomas Hugh b. 1884 (my grandfather), and 5) Jacob Capers b. 1886. Anyone researching these folks? Betty Cason
I may be sorry for this ,but I got this list from the book of "THE OHIO GENEALOGICAL SOCIETY " of marriages of YOUNGS through 1820 from LDS. Thelma

Their children: James (married Dinah PHILLIPS) Margaret (married John DUNKIN) Jacob John Silas (married Hannah CARROLL) Hannah (married Benjamin BURSON) Appreciate any clues, additions, etc....Regards, Barbara [email protected]
Hi J. Ray, Have'nt talked to you lately. How is your research going? I am at my normal stall. I remember we discussed the Samuel Young in Rowan Co. and the discussion in some book about the facts of where he was from. The writer thought he was from Maryland, perhaps. Do you know the book that this came from? I am stuck on it. I did go to Iredell Co. last week. My grandaughter was competing in drama at Greensboro which gave me a good excuse. I really enjoyed it and copied lots of items. Now, I need to get through them. Will appreciate any info on the above book.
