I find this post interesting for a couple reasons. I will have to change my thinking about the history of the area. Bedford Co Pa was made from Cumberland Co PA. My Samuel Young was born in Cumberland Co PA in 1762 and this John Young was born in Bedford Co in 1768. We are looking the same time period and possibly in the same neighborhood. I have always assumed that the Scotts-Irish were in the area first and the Germans came somewhat later than the period in question. This German Young is documented in the area so I may need to look in that line. Would you have any James, Matthew or Samuel Youngs associated with this line or any clues for me Thanks J. Ray Young
