Saddened to hear the loss of Chris Watts who many will know from his work with brother Michael on Merchant Seamen and BMD at sea etc. His knowledge will liveon via his books and his podcasts on The National Archives website. The Google maps Lecture (although poor sound quality in places) in particular highlights Chris' Yorkshire ancestry. Many of the others include fascinating detailed information learnt during many years at TNA. Well worth a listen if you haven't already.
