    3. Did anyone see tonights show featuring Samantha Womack nee Janus? If so the part where they found Beatrice heading to the US through Ellis Island. Samantha didnt notice that Beatrice is shown on the Ellis Island entry as being a US citizen so this leads to the question of sis her mother in fact have anotehr child in the US whom she named Beatrice and that Bertha was left in this country and died or who married later and all trace is lost. This is not teh first time I have seen these miniscule errors creeping in and the integrity of the program is now falling flat on its face Rob

    3. I presume the researchers checked for any US births and the children would show in the US censuses. If a family turned up in New York with a number of children, would immigration actually check the nationality of each child or just believe the parents? Could also have been a case of ditto ... down the column. Presumably Beatrice would have had to travel back to the UK at some point. I wondered if they followed up the correction from Tinkel to Finkel on Ancestry to see if someone else had been researching the family. 3. Good grief Can't you just enjoy the program for what its worth ? I do despair at times I dare say that if I looked hard enough at *anyones* research I would find errors or inconsistencies, some explainable, others not I saw the episode and enjoyed it, I trust they employed people who know what they are doing and did I not expect them to rake over every flaw in the data and explain every single item as it would make for a very boring program otherwise Nivard Ovington in Cornwall (UK) On 15/08/2012 21:59, Robert Burns wrote: > Did anyone see tonights show featuring Samantha Womack nee Janus?
