Hi Jeannie The choice is not between Halifax and Wentworth, but between Halifax and the Racecourse. We are all agreed that Wentworth is too expensive and again parking is extra. The racecourse is not much more money than Halifax and is B&B. Further there are no hidden extras. To those who suggested contacting the tourist board - this is how we found the accommodation at the race course. We cannot access the York FH fair from Halifax which we can from the racecourse. Further we will be on the spot for the fair. Janice is going to inspect the rooms so we must wait and see. There are however a number of people who have said they will come is we go to the race course. I can see the problem re mobility for Halifax Court but the parking prices only adds 81 pounds for the fortnight which is just a bit dearer than one nights stay at Wentworth. The cheap accommodation at Halifax was the part that appealed to us in the Antipodes. When you already have forked out nearly $2000 to get there anything helps. You might lose some Aussies and NZers.
