Listers may be interested in my latest publication in my "Famous family trees" blog at..... http://blog.findmypast.co.uk/2012/08/famous-family-trees-john-craven/ The subject is JOHN CRAVEN, well-known BBC TV presenter of "John Craven's Newsround" and "Countryfile". I got him back to his 4-x-great-grandparents in the parish registers of Calverley and Pudsey in the 1790s. The PRs of Calverley, BTW, are online at a brilliant website, http://www.calverley.info/ and the Craven surname appears there in the registers from around 1586, so John Craven's family tree may go back much further - but I didn't have the time or space to pursue it! Anyone who thinks they may be connected, feel free to contact me. Roy Stockdill Professional genealogist, writer and lecturer http://blog.findmypast.co.uk/tag/roy-stockdill/
