Audrey There is a large "collection" of BOWNs in Derbyshire especially in the Matlock/Wirksworth area. I came across one today on this website www.wirksworth.org.uk/X576.htm which may be of interest. In fact John Palmers site www.wirksworth.org.uk is probably full of them. I would recommend that you take a look. Fifty years ago I worked alongside one Alexander "Sandy" Bown who came from Matlock. We both worked for Firth Derihon Stampings in Darley Dale at that time.
