    2. May I make a claim to the largest family? The sad aspect is , however, that none of the children survived beyond infancy or childhood. Nevertheless, Rebecca nee Hindle was the first wife of my gt grandfather, Benjamin Town. They married on July 15 1828 and then produced 30 children, all recorded in batches on a memorial stone in Keighley Parish churchyard. Rebecca died in 1851 after which Benjamin remarried and I am descended via his second wife. Rebecca was a twin so it seems probable that there were some twin pregnancies to have produced 30 children in 13 years.
