I have found an invitation for my Grandfather, Joseph Cooper of Follifoot to a Buckingham Palace Garden Party in June 1946. No one in the family knew anything about the invitation or whether he went. Would it be possible to find out whether he went? Is it likely that it would have been in the local paper or the Yorkshire Post? Anne Garrison Reading, Berkshire
Would it have been a part of a Victory Celebration at the end of WW11?
