Anne Some more info The first London Regiment was raised in 1908 with 26 battalions, increasing to 92 battalions during the First World War, making it the largest regiment in the British Army and twice the size the Army is today. Disbanded during the 1930s, the re-formed London Regiment remains unique as each rifle company wears the cap badge of its antecedent or affiliated Regiment - Princess of Wales's Royal Regiment, Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, London Scottish and London Irish Rifles. http://www.arbeia.demon.co.uk/srs/collect/badges/infantry/desc_ba.htm# 15th London Regiment 28th London Regiment http://www.arbeia.demon.co.uk/srs/collect/badges/infantry/desc_bc.htm# Royal Naval Division Machine Gun Corps http://www.arbeia.demon.co.uk/srs/collect/badges/corps/desc_c.htm# Machine Gun Corps Bob DNA Projects I2*, ISOGG new I2b, I2c HG & Tyler Surname and ISOGG YTree A Fair Deal for Members of the Defence and Ex Service Community.
