    3. Hmmmm Thanks Nivard I've looked at the 2 websites you suggest. I have a FMP sub but the link does not seem to state when these records will come online. The other web site is disappointing in that it deals with individual records. I was hoping for the details of the other people in the household. I know that the person who died in WW2 is dead. What I need are the details of the rest of the family. it seems I have to know names before I can apply for info. This is a catch 22. A thought - Anyone know how to get WW2 soldiers wills please? Sorry all - my experience with FH is of going backwards. I know all my personal family of this generation so I have never had to do this period before. Can anyone remember what this count was called and does anyone know where to access the info if it is available? Is it at the NRA? We are struggling to find the WW2 men on the local war memorial. Any ideas of where to look would be appreciated. When the families disappear from the electoral role when they move - where do you look? Freebmd is incomplete and only goes as far as the 1980s. The parish records are available on Ancestry but are not proving helpful. I have yet to try the local media. The school admission records have been checked and not all of the men went to school locally. Next year is the 70th anniversary of the end of WW2. > We had a packed house again at the remembrance Sunday service this morning with many of the WW1 families we have traced coming. > Many thanks > Chris ---------------------------------------- Some useful websites - FREECEN - http://www.freecen.org.uk/ FREEBMD - http://freebmd.org.uk/ FREEREG - http://www.freereg.org.uk/ Want to know where a place in Yorkshire is - Try Genuki http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/eng/YKS/ ------------------------------- Links to more useful websites - www.ryedalefamilyhistory.org www.wharfedalefhg.org.uk www.yorkshireparishregisters.com www.yorkshireroots.org.uk ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to [email protected] with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
