Hi Pauline I have a Charles ALDEN police constable who was born in Thorpe Abbots in Norfolk about 1838 . He lived in Hornsea, Flamborough, Kilham, Sledmere, Elvington and York according to the censuses. Let me know if you think there is a connection.
