    3. Hi folks, I have read the messages that have come through whilst I have been out celebrating my birthday and replied to them. The list has been in “moderated” mode for the last few hours. I will shortly reinstate it to normal mode. Please don’t post any more about the latest debate. It would be pointless to do so because I have decided that you need an admin who will let you do as you like. I am not that person so, if anybody wants to take over, please contact me privately. 3. Dave, I have been following the messages that have come through this list and even though I very seldom post I felt compelled to reply now. I forget how long I have been a member of Yorksgen, but there have been debates off and on since I've been a member and yes, I believe a couple of members unsubscribed but not the list admin. I think this is an awesome list and I, for one, have learned a lot reading the individual posts. I honestly don't feel that you have been attacked, it's just members expressing their own opinions and as far as I am concerned, I thought we are allowed to do that. I have never done a Family tree in Microsoft Word, and I would love to learn how people write up a family history using that program, but, I guess that option of learning isn't going to be allowed now. I hope you change your mind about not being the admin and just relax a bit and go with the flow to speak.........LOL. I feel the person posting was asking a genealogy related topic question and that it was totally appropriate. As for the lack of posts now, there is so much information on the internet that is readily available for people to access now and you have websites on this forum for people to access. I personally feel that this forum should be for any and all genealogy related questions whether it's asking how to find family, how to figure out who's who in the family or just asking how to write up a genealogy report using whatever program. Anyhow, if you choose to not let this post go through that's up to you, but, I don't feel I have violated any "rules" of this site by expressing my opinion. 3. Hi Dave, Hope you had a happy birthday. I too have been on this list for years. I have had lots of help and even met some relatives so I really appreciate the list. I am on several other lists and have noticed that all are quieter than they used to be. The vast majority of people on the list are pleasant, nice people who only want to help so please reconsider your decision. As for the bits at the bottom - they don't have to be read! One question though - why are all the posts arriving as twins? I am getting 2 of everything.
