    3. Wendy, Please don't apologize for your previous info. I have done the same on occasion...........I call them 'senior moments'. Well done anyway. ..........you found him!! Not only Thomas but also his grandparents in 1841. I was searching for them thinking that is possibly where Thomas was but I didn't find them.. I'm surprised I didn't find them under Balshaw. Good work Wendy...........much appreciated. Marg >From the Beautiful British Columbia Cariboo Region, Canada ----- Original Message ----- From: "Wendy King" <[email protected]> To: "Margaret Cambridge" <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, October 09, 2014 5:16 AM Subject: Re: [YORKSGEN] Help finding Thomas Walshaw APOLOGIES and a census page to consider Dear Marg I am so sorry about sending you the wrong information this morning. However, the principle holds good - Thomas could be with grandparents, an aunt or uncle. It may be worth looking at her future husband's parents too -some cases the child has been giving the surname of the head of household be the enumerator. If you find some possibilities you then need to check them with other censuses and birth/baptism records to eliminate/confirm your Thomas. I have sent you a copy of a census page which I think may well be him if his grandparents are William and Betty WALSHAW - indexed on Ancestry as BALSHAW - in case it doesn't arrive the detail is Nun Royd, Heckmondwike William 65, woollen m Betty, 50 William, 25, woollen lab John, 15 Thomas, 3 hope this is helpful Wendy
