    1. [YORKSGEN] FTM query

    3. I use FTM to record my data. This may have been covered before but I cannot find a solution online. How does everyone record data as 'unproven' in their files? I have a tentative ancestral line but would like to be able to mark it as 'unproven' in some way so that others following on from me don't take it as gospel and also so that I don't forget about it. Any suggestions (simple ones please!) Lin

    3. I use "Undocumented" or if I have a document but not sure about it I use "Speculative". 3. I use Family Historian and on there you can select a choice of Primary, Secondary or Questionable. I pick primary for copies of image I have, Secondary if I only have a source and questionable if, like you are asking, unproven Victor On 05/10/2014 10:20 PM, Lin via wrote: > I use FTM to record my data. > > This may have been covered before but I cannot find a solution online. > > How does everyone record data as 'unproven' in their files? > > I have a tentative ancestral line but would like to be able to mark it > as 'unproven' in some way so that others following on from me don't take > it as gospel and also so that I don't forget about it. > > Any suggestions (simple ones please!) > > Lin > ..... > Ancestors in Yorkshire? http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/eng/YKS/index.html; > www.ryedalefamilyhistory.org; www.wharfedalefhg.org.uk; > www.yorkshireparishregisters.com; www.yorkshireroots.org.uk; > > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to [email protected] with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message

    3. You could change the relationship between the unproven pair to "unknown" rather than "parent/child", say. Then make a note as to the problem.
