Dear Carolyn, I remember Robson & Cooper at 11 Lendal in the 1960s. It is also listed there in Kellys 1913. I found Matthew Cooper at 19 Railway St. in kellys 1889 listed as Sadlers and harness makers. This is near Micklegate which is close to Tanners Lane and Toft Green which is where leather was tanned. It also is near Nunnery Lane.
