    1. [YORKSGEN] COATES - Huddersfield

    3. On my dad's birth certificate it states that he was born at 29 St Pauls Street Huddersfield, in 1923, and that his father was a miner. When I check on Google Earth I see that it says that 29 St Pauls Street is shown as a building belong to the Yorkshire Regiment. To me it looks as though it has been there a long time and always belonged to the Yorkshire Regiment. My grandad was in the army starting as a drummer boy in the Boer War but was discharged in 1919, I know that he also joined up again at the beginning of World War II. Can anyone tell me if those buildings would have been built after 1923, or if they were built before does anyone have any ideas as to why my grandma should have put down that my dad was born there. Thank you - June
