I have the following four baptisms at Holy Trinity HULL - GEORGE WEBSTER, 07 Sep 1767 - JOHN WEBSTER, 23 May 1769 - HENRY WEBSTER, 21 May 1770 - ROBERT WEBSTER, 07 Jan 1780 Nothing further found on them except the possible death of "John Webster of Hull" in March 1852 aged 83 (newspaper notices). If this is John, where is he in the intervening years? The 1841 and 1851 censuses are inconclusive. If any of them had died as infants, they would have been buried from Hull Holy Trinity, but I have not found this. Are the burial records for HullHT missing for this period? An earlier son Robert's burial entry from there on 23 Oct 1766 is available. Another brother, Richard, obtained a commission in the Army. How would I find if any of these brothers also joined the army, or the navy, around 1785-1798? If any were in a local militia, how can I check this from Australia? This was a period of military and naval recruitment. Only sons Richard and John, of the above, are mentioned in their mother's 1803 will. So perhaps George, Henry and Robert had died but I have not been able to find them. Bill Sydney
