Their father died young and mother remarried as Lin says, but can find nothing about Robert under HIDE nor HYDE. Bill Had another thought. As it seems odd that Robert isn't with his mother or brother in 1891 or anywhere else for that matter it's possible that he died at the same time or shortly after his father (1883) and either the death was never regstired or has been missed off the Index. It could be worth seeing if there is a death registered by contacting the Superintendent Registrar for the District where Alfred's death was registered.
