If you are talking about the FTM sync with Ancestry. Family Historian has a sync with My Heritage. Anyone can watch a demo of Family Historian, which is British, and also have a 30 day free trail. Just go to the FH website Victor On 10/12/2015 5:55 PM, Nivard Ovington via wrote: > I suspect there will be other software suppliers offering their own > deals to entice FTM users to them > > But can't see the rush myself > > The thing FTM users will lose is the synch function in just over a years > time, but as no other software bar FTM can synch or is ever likely to, > what do the others offer over and above FTM? > > Nivard Ovington in Cornwall (UK) > > On 10/12/2015 16:31, Victor Markham via wrote: >> This appeared on Facebook >> >> Following the recent announcement by Ancestry that Family Tree Maker >> will be discontinued, Calico Pie has today offered a 20% discount off >> the price of download licences for Family Historian 6, to users of >> Family Tree Maker. Hi Victor Yes, I am talking about the Synch between Ancestry and Family Tree Maker but users would still have the shaky leaves and hints etc And the ability to attach records to their trees from Ancestry and separately to FTM by downloading them as was always the way pre synch facility The value was the ability to change information on Ancestry trees or in FTM and automatically synch between the two My Heritage doesn't have any records does it? so there is little value of synch'ing between Family Historian and My Heritage as far as I can see As I said previously, there is no rush anyway, I am sure they will be lining up with offers to induce FTM users to swap over, but as said, none offer a synch facility so what would be the big advantage in swapping prematurely Nivard Ovington in Cornwall (UK) On 10/12/2015 21:51, Victor Markham via wrote: > If you are talking about the FTM sync with Ancestry.
