But if not you can find it by searching Yorkshire baptisms with Guisborough as the parish. The surname is GAMBLES but the index has omitted the final S. The transcriber hasn’t managed to read the forename but I thought that some of you might be able to do so. The date is 17 Aug 1669. The page is pretty clear considering the time period. The clerk has made a bit of a mess of entering the forename but I think it goes on to say Gambles (crossed out) and then ye Sun of Thomas Gambles baptised ye 17 Agust. My best guess is Zacary but that’s uncommon and no further sign of this child appears either marrying or being buried. Can anyone help? Thanks, Irene
