"York itself has never been part of any Riding. It is the centre point of all the Ridings. More accurately it is called the Ainsty of York" I thought it was "York AND the Ainsty." The Ainsty is to the southwest of York, so my understanding is that they are considered to be two separate entities. Is that wrong? I know the hunt was always called York and the Ainsty.Daine
