Hi Margaret Further to my last email Mary Townsend (Tattersley) was a widow in 1939 - her dob was the same as Elizabeth's. Stanley Townsend died Jun Q 1939 Wakefield. Mary married Wilfred Warren Sep Q 1940 Lower Agbrigg and died Dec Q 1980 Wakefield. I believe they had twin girls, Elizabeth & Mary in 1901 as shown in 1911 census. In 1904 Friend is found in a prison record being in arrears of maintenance so I imagine he and Jane must have separated. Then in 1909 another child, Maud, is born. In 1911 Jane and the children are living with her parents and Friend is a boarder in the Mary Baker home in Flockton. Does anyone have this couple in their tree?
