Yes it is 64 bit. My IT guy has WIN 10 on a couple of his machines, he also supports several mid to large sized companies so he has experience with WIN 10 on a number of machines. If and when MS stops supporting Win7 I will deal with it. It isn't necessary to stop the prompts to upgrade, just slightly annoying, so I have stopped them. If I want to upgrade, I still can. For now everything works fine and I will not upgrade. Thanks everyone, esp. If Windows 7 Click start button bottom left In the menu you will see Computer, *right* click over it and select Properties That should show a page with all the information on it and the version of Windows you are using including if its 32 or 64 bit As to W10 crashing, that is not my experience or anyone else who I have spoken to, perhaps your IT man is being a little over negative on that score, I wonder if he has tried it ? So far the overwhelming response I have seen to W10 has been positive on the whole, it does have some privacy issues which need addressing but they are user selectable I see no need for a program to disable the W10 popups which don't interfere with anything Its your choice at whether you upgrade or not but at some point Windows 7 & 8 will not be supported leaving your computer vulnerable Nivard Ovington in Cornwall (UK)
If you go beyond July you will have to pay for W10. It is free now. My 1997 Claris Works program and my Microsoft Works (Word, spreadsheet etc) from 2003 are fine. Considering 200 million downloads of W10 have been made worldwide there have been very few problems. I can't understand the reluctance to progress to a more stable, modern, version of Windows.
