On the IGI at familysearch.org site, it only lists Edmond as being the father of Willm Snipe, 22 Nov 1616 Batch number P00962-1. there is a Wm Snipe who was fathering children either side of that date. No William for him on the 22 April 1616 though. Really only a handful of Snipe for Leeds using that batch number. Willm is abbreviated most entries. Yes the problem for those really early ones mothers names were not mentioned, unless a spinster birth. There may be exceptions though.
