There are two pretty good options: 1. MacFamilyTree This is software built specifically for the Mac, and is quite good. There is also a compatible application for iOS (iPhone, iPad, etc.) There is a demo version, and a full version ($49) http://www.syniumsoftware.com/macfamilytree 2. RootsMagic This is a popular Windows genealogy program, which has been ported to run on Mac. It is not really a native Mac program (it looks exactly like the Windows version), but seems to run well. There is a free version, and a full version ($29, I think), same as on Windows. https://www.rootsmagic.com/mac/ Both products, coincidentally, are at version 7. Hope this helps. -steve > On Apr 7, 2016, at 5:12 AM, June Parker via <yorksgen@rootsweb.com> wrote: > > An elderly neighbour has his family tree on an old computer, done some 10 years ago.
