The link below is to an image of Pigeoncote Farm(House) located in Main St, Broomfleet, almost opposite Carr Lane. It would appear by the brickwork that the house has grown over the years, possibly in four stages. I believe my ancestors Isaac & Frances (Tindle) HAIRSINE owned the property. The family is shown on the 1871 (minus Frances as she died in the previous year) census as farming 220 acres. Both are buried in St Mary's graveyard. The East Riding of Yorkshire at The Treasure House archives at Beverley hold the East Riding Registry of Deeds These are refs to property transactions from the early 1700's to around 1970 If you get in touch with the archives they may be able to refer you to a local searcher who could perhaps investigate for you. Deeds Registries are not well known as they only exist for the 3 Yorkshire Ridings and for Middlesex. many books on tracing the history of your house completely ignore these sources of millions of records.
