House of Yoder,Inc., a non-profit organization building a Yoder House in a colonial-era style in Spruce Forest Artisan Village in Grantsville, MD, will hold its second annual meeting at Penn Alps (also in Grantsville, MD) this coming Saturday, November 8, 1997 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Agenda items include: sharing a brunch at the Penn Alps Restaurant, a tour of the Yoder House now under construction, a short business meeting and input from guest speaker, Jan Gleysteen, who will narrate a slide presentation entitled ³From Whence We Came: Retracing the Yoder Origins² as he reviews Yoder history in the European setting. House of Yoder, Inc. is currently building the Yoder House under the leadership of a 10 member executive committee. The house will contain Yoder-related historical documents, genealogical data, and family artifacts. One year, five year, and lifetime memberships in House of Yoder, Inc. are available to interested persons, especially those with the Yoder name and/or Yoder ancestry. Financial donations, as well as time and labor on the construction project, are welcomed.
