On Oct. 14, 1642 Brothers Jost and Nicholas Joder married cousins named Trachsel in Steffisburg. These two brothers are the progenitors of the Oley Yoder line, and through a number of Anabaptist sons in each family are believed likely ancestors of the Amish and Mennonite Yoders.
