    3. On this day in Yoder history, a Letter of Administration was issued for the estate of Sarah Shankle Yoder, wife of Hans Yoder "Jr."(OH11), who was in fact the grandson of Oley immigrant Hans Yoder. The home of Hans, is pictured at the bottom left of page 4, YNL28..and is where the carved lintel featured in YNL 29 exists. Sarah Shankle abandoned the family and went to live in Reading. She is listed by herself in Reading tax list of 1762,64, 79. She is buried in Peter de Turck's plot at Oley. Her oldest son Daniel Yoder was made administrator of the estate.

    3. Posted to our Yoder Homepage Guestbook: Sender: JBLauper@aol.com Subject: Daniel Yothers My ancestor is Daniel Yothers who was born in 1773 or 1774 in Penn. He died in Centre Co. in 1853 but may have lived in York Co. at some time in his life. He was married to Rebecca. Do you know where I may find out more information about this family? The names of the children were: Joseph, John, Ephim, Mary, Conrad, Daniel, Jacob and Benjamin (my ancestor) born 1812. I think his name may have been Yoder for a good deal of his life. I also would like to know if these people were Dutch or German. Any information would be helpful. I got your e-mail address from an AOL post from AAADeaf. Thanks for your time. Lorraine Lauper

    1. Re: Yoders from SOuthern Indiana
    2. Hi, Chap! I have some northern Yoder relatives in mostly Allen County (Leo, Grabill. etc.). Among them are two Noahs: Noah Yoder, b. 9 May 1875 near Leo, Ind., son of Daniel Yoder (b. 6 April 1854, d. 29 Apr 1924 Cedarville, IN). This Noah Yoder m. Cinda Sales (b. 22 Apr 1878 Adams Co. IN), and they had 10 ch. I also have a Noah Yoder b. 21 Dec 1872 IN m. Rosa Meshberger. I have more data on this Noah, somewhere, but can't quite remember where that material is at the moment in my so-called genealogical library and file collection - maybe it's in my FTM program. I also have vast amounts of Yoder data from Stark Co. OH; Wayne Co. OH; Henry Co., IA; and Washington Co., IA. Good luck! John Parfitt

    3. AN ENTRY TO THE YODER GUESTBOOK: ------------------------------------------------------ The Yoder website and database are remarkable. I was delighted to find your site and can't wait to join your association and receive the newsletter. I am a great- granddaughter of William Wesley Yoder (Con299), descended from Conrad Yoder in NC. His daughter, Anna, was my grandmother, and her family lived mostly in Oklahoma and New Mexico. The "cousins" are planning a get-together in Clovis, New Mexico on June 7th, and I have been trying to find information on our ancestors. I'd like to receive information on the annual reunion in Hickory, NC for the Conrad Yoder family. I would be glad to share information with others. Thanks!!! 3. June 7, 1880- Elijah Yoder of Schuylkill County, Pa died and is buried at Jacobs Church. Elijah is on of our "missing links", requiring further research and revelations to establish his ancestry...although is seems likely he fits in with the Oley line someplace. Members of his line what have done research include Robert Yoder and John L.Yoder. Elijah was born in 1803 and is believed to have been married twice. We are aware of 11 children. See our Unlinked files with family identification "AC".
