Hi everyone, I originally sent this on Saturday, 25 September, 1999 Since we have had a lot of new members since then and I've had an inquiry or two about it..... Here is some information about the Yelton Flour Mill... Archie Rollins Yelton, b. 30 Jan 1858, d. 8 Jun 1923, began the Yelton Milling Company in 1913 on Cleghorn Creek, East Court Street in Rutherfordton. It was moved to the present location on Railroad Avenue (actually it is in Spindale, NC) in 1933. Yelton Milling Company passed out of the hands of any Yelton family member about 1992.
