    3. Suzanne, I don't know where the 1736 date came from, but my grandfather started the one located in Rutherford County. I know I am getting old, but not quite THAT old!!! Yes the Kings are Lakeside Mills and are from Eastern NC. I stopped at the mill last year and visited with one. Since the flour mill has actually been producing since about 1736, does anyone know which of the Yeltons came into the business and when? It says that the King family now owns it. I guess they are Lakeside Mills? 3. I believe that Lakeside Mills was an eastern NC Mill from the 1736 date. When they bought the Yelton Mill in Spindale, they just kept the Yelton name on the products. Everything else became Lakeside. Correct me if I'm wrong Don. Would any of the Historical Societies in that area have other information about when it was Yelton Mills?
