These words formed the text of the ser- mon preached by the Rev. J. P. Wil- liams, assistant pastor of the First Baptist Church of Newport, KY., who officiated, Saturday morning, at the services for four member of the Yel- ton family of Cold Spring, KY. The services were conducted from the fu- neral home of Fred Erschell, 227 East, Sixth Street, Newport. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery. The rites were for Roland W. Yelton, 38, and his children, Clifford, 14; Esther, 12, and Evelyn, 7. The little room in which the three small white coffins and the larger gray one were placed was crowded to capacity when the services started. The three children and their father drowned Thursday in the Licking River, near Rosedale, KY., three sac- rificing their lives in a vain attempt to save the younger child. ___________________________ No date of name of newspaper listed.
