Cousins, I've added a new page to the temporary website at http://home.att.net/~yeltonweb/ This page covers the descendants of David L. Yelton, who I believe to have been a son of Robert Yelton by his first wife, Elizabeth Kersey. I'm pretty confident of the information on David's descendants (though of course I welcome any additions, corrections, etc.), but the link between David & Robert is a little weaker. It's based on: 1. David was born circa 1811 in North Carolina, but later lived in Kentucky and Indiana. That geographic profile is consistent with what we know about Robert Yelton's life. 2. David's first marriage took place in Shelby Co, IN, where we know Robert & his family were living at that time. 3. From the 1820 and 1830 censuses, we know that Robert had a son approximately David's age by his first wife. 4. Elizabeth Kersey's father was David Kersey. David Yelton was probably named for his maternal grandfather. See what you think. Cheryl
