3. Hi Everyone, I thought I'd send you all some URL's just in case you can't find them in the welcome message you received when you subscribed. It is fun sometimes to look back at messages that have been sent to the list in the last four years. There are two ways to search the list archives, they are as follows: To search the archives of the YELTON-L e-mail list http://searches2.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/listsearch.pl Then type in YELTON and submit. Then you can type in your question (such as a particular name, or county, or Cemetery, etc that you want to see if we have discussed), and select the year 1998-2001 you think the message might be in. Be as specific as you can when typing in your Query, you can always go back and ask for more. For instance, you can type in October 2001 and it will show you all of the messages for October. I assume it will do the same for any month/year. This search is strictly by the topic of your choosing. Archiver search http://archiver.rootsweb.com/ Type in YELTON then pick the year and month you want to look at. They have been very slow lately getting the messages on to the Archiver. Hopefully it will be fully functional soon. Ignore the Jan 1980 date, there was something wrong with Peggy's computer date setup. You can elect to view the messages in either threaded or chronological order, with or without names/dates. In case you lose my address, this address will work. contact the list administrator at YELTON-admin@rootsweb.com Yelton Surname Message Board - Rootsweb http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/board/rw/surnames.yelton/25/next Do take a look at our Yelton Message Board and be sure to click on Links & Announcements. If you have a website that has Yeltons on it, let me know and I'll add a link to it on that page. Click here: Cemetery Record Index http://rfci.net/wdfloyd/cemdex.html This is the cemetery index by W.D. Floyd for several counties in NC To Subscribe or Unsubscribe send the message to: YELTON-L-request@rootsweb.com with either Subscribe or Unsubscribe as the subject and the one word message. There must be more URL's that you could use, but right now this is all I can think of. Hope you all had a great weekend! Iris ifreily@member.isa.org
