    1. [YELTON] Yelton-D Digest Request #18 on March 8, 2001
    2. There was a request for the marriage date for Alonzo Bryant & Rosetta. Also needed death date and burial place of Nancy Gosney Bryan d/o Robert H. Gosney and America Yelton. An article in the Oct. 20, 1922 edition of the Falmouth Outlook reads as follows: "The many friends and relatives of Mrs. Nannie Huddleston (nee Gosney), widow of the late George Huddleston, are pained to learn of her death, which occurred at her home near Vernon, Ill.,Sept. 29,1922. Mrs. Huddleston was about 66 years of age, was a native of this county, and spent a greater part of her life at this place and at Butler, where she is well known. She was a daughter of the late Hampton and America Gosney, and a sister of the late Oliver Gosney. She is survived by two sons, Bernie, and Charlie, of Illinois, and three brothers, Eugene Gosney of Illinois, Jasper and Robert Gosney whose whereabouts are unknown to the writer. The Obit for Alonzo Bryan in the Nov. 3, 1944 Falmouth Outlook (Pendleton Co. Ky.) reads in part: "He was twice married, both companions being good, true women; the first time to Miss Nancy Gosney, to whom three children were born,of whom two survive, Burney Bryan of Normal, Ill., and Charley Bryan of Vandalia, Ill. The second marriage was to Miss Rose Ella Robinson, to whom four sons were born, of whom only one survives, Howard R. Bryan of Grant's Lick. Both wives preceded him in death many years...." Evidently Nancy Gosney and Alonzo Bryan were divorced and both remarried. These obits will probably raise still more questions, but they are interesting and hopefully will provide some help. Carolyn
