Dear cousins - experienced with genealogy! I have a copy of "The Heritage of Rutherford County, NC" and was doing some reading tonight when I came accross some Yelton info. I assume that serious genealogists like to have sources to quote so I thought I would offer this. There is about a page and a half of names including places, dates, etc. For example, it begins: "The family of Jacob Dexter Yelton, Sr. dates back to the 1700's in Rutherford County. Jacob's great-grandfather, James Yelton, died in 1783 and is buried in Stafford County ----". Another name is John Landrum Yelton, 1847, son of Jacob Yelton. I suppose you all have this info, but if anyone is interested I can scan it or fax the pages. Don Yelton
