Rhodie was the daughter of Martha Yelton and Noah Davis. Times News paper, Jan 3, 2002 -Norris Bishop.89 yrs old.of Avery's Creek died Tuesday, Dec.25, 2001 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center following a short illness. A lifelong resident of Avery's Creek, N.C., he was a son of the late Lonnie and Rhoda Davis Bishop. He was the husband of the late Gladys Riddle Bishop, who died in 1986. He was a barber in Henderson and Buncombe counties for 42 years. Survivors include two daughters, Arville P. Thompson and her husband, Richard of Hendersonville, NC and Dallas Satterwhite of Flat Rock, NC; a son, Norris C. Bishop and wife Francis of Spartanburg ,SC; a sister: Martha Radford of Andrews; a brother, Clifford Lee Bishop of Waynesville; nine grandchildren Michael L.Thompson, Karen T.Williams,Stacy Thompson Hall, David Satterwhite, Stephen Satterwhite,Wesley Jeanne Satterwhite,Meleah Allard, Kimberly Graham and Gretchen Osteen: 12 great-grand children and one gg g'child.
