    3. Hi Everyone, Debbie Hamlin has sent me the obituary for her Mother-In-Law Alda Blanche Yelton Hamlin. In the interests of privacy and copyright law, I am abbreviating the obituary. She passed away June 29th. She was a wonderful woman loved by many and will be missed greatly. Below I have copied the obit." Blanche Hamlin Alda Blanche Yelton Hamlin, 80 Route 3 Mars Hill died Saturday, June 29, 2002 at Mission St Joseph's Health System after an extended illness. She was a lifelong resident of Madison County and a member of Upper Laurel Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Regetta Howell Yelton and wife of the late Lee R Hamlin, Sr. who passed away September 28, 1996. She was preceded in death by a daughter Connie Lynn Hamlin. She is survived by two daughters, four sons, one sister, eight grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. The funeral services were held at 11a.m. Tuesday July 2, 2002 at Upper Laurel Baptist church. The Rev. Cline Hensley Jr and Eb Jenkins officiated. Burial was at the church cemetery. The family received friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, July 1, 2002 at Blue Ridge Funeral Service, Mars Hill NC. 6 Pallbearers were listed. Debbie Hamlin
