Phyllis, I found Hezekiah & Isabel in the 1880 Census for Pendleton Co, KY (E.D. 163, p. 440A) with the following children: Maggie, age 15, b. Indiana Katie, age 12, b. KY Annie, age 10, b. KY Charles, age 7 b. KY Unice, age 5, b. KY Pearl, age 1, b. KY The census also states that the father of all the children was born in KY, as was their mother. Isabel's father was born in VA. Isabel herself was b. ca. 1845. If Isabel was first married to Enoch Yelton, then I think Maggie must be their daughter Lydia Margaret, who married Daniel Fossitt in 1887. I know there are some Fossett descendants on the list who may be able to help further. I wouldn't be too concerned about the census giving her last name as Dunn and stating that she is Hezekiah's daughter rather than step-daughter (if that is in fact the case). I've seen that happen quite a bit in the case of second marriages, either because the census taker jumped to a conclusion, or because the children actually use their step-father's name. Finally, I don't have an Isabel Yelton in my database who is anywhere near the right age to be Hezekiah Dunn's wife, other than the Isabel Smith who married Enoch Yelton. Hope this helps. Hi Everyone, New list member Robert C. Yelton wants to know if there are others who live in the Clarendon Hills/Chicago suburbs. He was also wondering about any Yelton reunions in that area. Got him. William was the son of Barnett C. Yelton & Mary Pauline Harmon. I knew he married a Laura, but did not know her maiden name. I have names and birthdates for 3 of their children: James (Mar. 1898), Alva (Jan. 1900), and Sherman (4 Aug 1902). According to the 1900 Census for Phelps County, MO, Laura was born in May 1875, which makes a lot more sense than 1883. Barnett C. Yelton was the son of Barnett Yelton and Mary Ellen Ford, and the grandson of Charles H. Yelton and Susannah Rogers. He & his brother William moved from North Carolina to Missouri around 1871.
