One reason is Elizabeth's parents - Hetty & Philip - were married 12/7/1825, which would have made Elizabeth born before her parents were married. BUT I have not found Hetty & Philip's marriage on the Pendleton Co. marriage index. So.... My files show Philip's birth place as Paris, KY. Interested in any comments??? Beth

The 1900 census she gives her birth as Sep 1830. In this case the information on the death record is probably incorrect as to the mother and her birth date. JoAnn, I presume thar the Marion Yelton you are referring to is the son of Charles William Yelton and Emma Duncan born Sept 1894. I checked my records but do not have a death record for him. I do not know where to check for prison deaths. If he died in Ky there would have been a death certificate issued. Jerry Dunn

Hi Jerry-I am curious as to whether we are related. My gggrandmother was Sarah/Susan Eldridge-Yelton-Wright-Dunn. She had two sons by William Dunn-Jerry and James Willard. She was married to Jefferson Yelton(possibly Jeff L?) and had at least one child that I know of, Mary J. Yelton. She had two sons by Allen Wright after Jeff died(she m. Allen in 1852 and the marriage cert says widow of Jefferson Yelton. Jerry Dunn m. Ida Moore and they lived for a time in Indpls area I believe-they had a son Glenn. Are you related to them? Roslyn

gerald you dont know how to find a marion yelton that died in prison do you? I found a warrant issued in boone co. in 1936 dismissed in 1945 (thats the year he died i think) we have always wondered what he was in prison for I have checked state and fed. and could not find him. I would like to clarify the information concerning Nancy Harriet Yelton daughter of Charles C. Yelton and Margaret Kirby. Some web sites have her marrying three times. 1 to James J. Gosney. 2 to G. B. Fornash 3 to Sharp Fornash I have found no marriage record for her to Sharp Fornash. G. B. (Kenton Co Ky ED 26 Sh 172 V 63) Her obituary on 08/05/1955 lists all of her children except Charles Yelton an William Everett Gosney . The Sharp Fornash who was born abt 1878 and died on 06/17/1965 was not the husband of Nancy Harriet Yelton. His wife was Jennie North. They had nine children, the first being born in 1914. All Fellow Yelton researchers, I have been doing research on the Northern Ky Yelton's and there descendants from the 1880's to the present. I have accumulated several hundred copies of Ky death records and obituaries for many of the Yelton's and their spouses and siblings. I have also abstracted information from many of the marriage records in Northern Ky. I will gladly check my records for you to see if I have a copy death record for any Yelton or Yelton descendant in the northern Ky area. I will also check for birth and marriage information. Hi Jerry, Would you mind checking to see if you have a birth/death date for Katherine Newkirk Yelton? She was born abt. 1832 and died before 1864, I think. She was married to William Motimer Yelton of Pendleton Co. They were my g-g grandparents and I have never been able to find her actual birth or death dates.
