    3. Hi Walter and all, Don't want to muddy up the waters; just like to pass along some similarities, etc., and maybe gain some information for myself. First off, some background. In the early 1800's, there were two migrations of people from Lehigh (Northampton until 1812) and Berks Counties. Lynn and Heidelberg Twps. in Lehigh and Greenwich Twp. in Berks, were particulary well represented. They came to farm the fertile lands of Austintown, Ellsworth and Canfield Twps. The first wave, which came in 1804/1805, consisted of names such as; Lynn, Harding, Neff, Ritter, Borts, Ohl, Frank, Gilbert, Butt, Stitle, Arner, Brunstetter, Crum, Crumrine, Bachman, Fink, Miller, Fulk, Oswald, Neier, Whitsel, Yager, Everett, Bailey, Graber, Dustman, Osborn, Coril, Wannemaker, Peter, Strock and Wehr. These people were all members of the German union church. The church, organized in 1810 was to be known as Zion Lutheran and Reformed Church. (Okay, that concludes the background part) The book we know as the Canfield Twp. Cemetery and Death Records, lists John Henry Yager b. c 1765, d. 1 Dec 1843, ae, 78 yr, along with w Susanna b. 15 Jan 1775, d. 24 Apr 1855, ae 80y3m9d. Also listed is Yager, Henry b. 27 Feb 1806, (presumably Canfield) d. 28 Apr 1883, ae 77y2m1d., w Elizabeth b. 1815, d. 23 Aug 1899, ae 84y4m27d. Having said this..from my FTM, I find.. Sarah Yeager, b. 1799 m. Henry Brunstetter in 1820, Oh., probably Austintown or Canfield Twp., Trumbull, Oh. Sarah, d/o Henry of Canfield. What I have tried to do is get out some information on YagerYeager. My own line, John b. 1809, didn't arrive Newton Twp., Oh., untill later. I have never been able to tie them in to this Canfield Twp. clan, hard as I tried, even though John m. Rebecca Raber in Lehigh Co., Pa., 29 Jan. 1832. So, you see, they were much later than either of the two waves of migration, but came from virtually the same place. I have Lucretia Musser, d/o John Musser, wife of Geo. W. Harding, son of Geo. Harding - b. Lynn Twp., Lehigh Co., Mar 17, 1793. I wonder if anyone knows where Mary Magdalene Musser comes from? That's about all for now; if anyone recognizes any of those surnames, be glad to tell what I know. Thanks for listening. Going to get really serious one of these days and call upon all of you to help me solve this Yeager line that continues to be elusive. Replies welcome.. Charles Eschman
