    3. Diana, I have two join requests pending in the White project. I responded to them through the GAP asking them o respond to my private address. One was a woman and the other was a man with the wrong surname. I have never heard from those people, let alone being able to approve the request. Marleen Van Horne

    3. Hi Marleen, Your situation I know how to handle. These are requests that came to you from someone going to the FTDNA home page, searching for your project, then making a join request from there. You *do* need to respond to these requests if you want any new members! Go to your GAP and click the Join Authorization link. Then click "Read" next to the request. When you do, the person's message will appear at the bottom of the page, so you can read it. There will also be a tiny Reply button, which you may not have noticed. When you click it, a form will appear allowing you to chose one of three radiobuttons and fill in a message: Accept Request Deny Request More Information What I've been doing is clicking More Information. In the reply, I supply my email address asking them to respond to it. Then we can carry on a "normal" interchange of emails. When my decision is made whether or not to let them in, I can go back to the GAP and, this time, choose one of the other radiobuttons. My current situation is due to the fact that the person's contact with me began as a private email. I now have no message in my GAP with a radiobutton to push. IMO, this new setup royally sucks.
