    3. DORA: In the Thousand Genomes Project, DF29 was found to be upstream of L22, Z58 and Z63 but not Z131. The Thousand Genomes Project tested 15 I1 Lx22 people and clearly missed alot. So now Ken and the others are trying to properly prove the place of DF29 in the tree. I'm sure alot of people are following the I1 SNP's. Ken is good at building phylogenetic trees but he does not have a monopoly on it. With a good deal of vague and sometimes contradictory ideas flying around, different trees aren't likely to look exactly alike. I judge trees partly by how clearly what is on them is explained. ********************************************* Thank you--I'm always skeptical when I don't see any data, and the tree didn't come directly from 1000 Genomes anyway. It shows DF29 upstream of M21,M227, M507, L22, Z58, Z63, as well as the still elusive Z131. Ken is General in charge of the I1 division at FTDNA and the least I can do is serve as one of his Lieutenants to recruit men from my family's AS7E subgroup. Two signed up last week for DF29. . I've been researching AS7E's since finding out in 2007 that my Britton cousins were members. I have 30 or 31 names in the group at this point, plus several others known or believed to be NPE's of Childers and a rather obvious--I think--NPE from Sandidge. My Brittons have no NPE's and no other family yet discovered is close enough for Britton to be its NPE. I need all the information I can get on the subgroup and I know that unless I keep other AS7E's informed about the latest research, they won't even know about new tests they ought to consider.
