    1. [yDNAhgI] EUPEDIA - Distribution of European Y-chromosome DNA

    3. I have just discovered that Eupedia has updated its website on "Distribution of European Y-chromosome DNA (Y-DNA) haplogroups by country in percentage" http://www.eupedia.com/europe/european_y-dna_haplogroups.shtml The new shares of I1 in particular countries are a little changed. Some countries are divided in regions, eg. Spain, we have discussed recently. In Spain I1-leaders are Galicia, Extramadura and Valencia, but the general Spain's I1-share is low - 1.5%. Still France is very high with 9.5%. I think this is absolutely unrealistic. Also East Germany with 16.5% is absolutely unrealistic. The sources of these numbers are unknown. It makes an impression that somebody has prepared this numbers based on his intuition only (or even on ideological assumptions). Best, Marek Skarbek Kozietulski
